    International d'art Miniature

    Internationale d’art miniature de Levis 6th edition

    From June 12 to September 4, 2011

    Big world…small art.

    The Internationale d’art miniature juried art exhibit and art rally will present its 6th edition in 2011.

    Discover over four hundred miniature works of art created by artists from more than 20 countries from around the world.  Artists will present their small format and miniature artwork and compete for the $5000 dollars in prize money.

    One exhibit, three locations. The works competing for the prizes in the International miniature art exhibit can be seen in two historical rectories converted into art galleries: the Presbytere Saint-Nicolas and the Galerie Louise-Carrier. For their part, The Galerie d’art des Deux-Ponts will host the artwork created by children.

    Come discover the exhibit and the city of Levis located a few minutes from the historical city of Quebec, Canada, across the majestic St.Lawrence River.

    cnib eye appeal 2011

    The CNIB Eye Appeal Art Event held on April 29, 2011 will be hosted at the Crystal Gardens in Victoria, BC.

    The CNIB Eye Appeal Art Event is one of the most anticipated fundraisers for CNIB on Vancouver Island. Attendees will experience; fine dining, breath-taking art and the opportunity to bid on unique items.

    Through the help of over 170 locally and internationally renowned artists as well as various sponsors and volunteers, the CNIB Eye Appeal Art Event raises money to fund programs on Vancouver Island.

    Nikkie was pleased to submit one of her Woodcuts for this event.

    I am pleased to announce that I have been awarded Signature Status (AFCA) by the Board of Governors in the Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA).  The FCA defines this award as a committed artist with consistent superior ability and excellence in the artistic field.    I am especially grateful for the help and encouragement of my fellow artists who have supported my growth and become great friends.   It is with sincere gratitude I thank the Board of Governors for this designation.
